A people and their religion must be judged by social standards based on social ethics. No other standard would have any meaning if religion is held to be necessary good for the well-being of the people.

Gee no thanks I kind of like IE 8 and all of its quaint little bugs. I don't think religion is a necessary good, and all of the people throughout history and in the curret times who go around killing, or persecuting in the name of religion prove that.

What about all of the atheists that go around killing people? Or how about the people who go around killing people because they believe in a god? How about people who go around yelling at people for a personal belief? I think that is a little out there killer ;)

I haven't yelled at anyone for their beliefs. And you all are the ones who are persecuting me for mine. I am a good person, and unlike you all I actually act the way I claim to believe. You should really try it sometime.

Amysue, I do not claim to be christian, indeed I am not American either, but it is deeply offensive that you consider that people are being blasphemous by saying God bless when in fact almost all religions have a God of some kind. Mine has more than one. While I am not a christian, my Gods are every bit as valid as yours until proven otherwise and a genuine christian is taught to be accepting of other faiths and beliefs (I know I was brought up a christian and only deviated from that path after many years of religious study) Don't push "ignorance" and "blaspheming" around, I can and will take on this argument in a religious forum any time you like, please feel free to name it and I will discuss it there. Or mail me, I like a good debate as those who know me around here know.

Flaming these people who are actually trying to show respect to the remembrance of fellow Americans who suffered is childish. Take your religious rubbish to a different place than one where you are making a mockery of a perfectly decent topic.

Also I would just like to add remembrance of the fellow Brits who died that day too. I sadly knew someone who died there who on the day was just visiting a business that his company did business with. The losses will never be forgotten here either.

Hi if you read what I said you would know I'm an atheist. I don't believe that any gods are valid. And she did not say God Bless because its what she believes she said it to make me mad, and that is blasphemy. So how about you read first and then have an opinion, you will look a lot more intelligent that way.

I guarantee none of us said GOD BLESS in the first place just to make you mad. It's what we believe you began the anger and the disrespect by attacking those of us with different beliefs than yours. We simply defended our right of free speech!

By disrespecting me, they are not showing respect for anyone, Darkwitch. Its really incredible how you can come all up in here judging without bothering to read anything. It is howver oh so nice to know that judgemental, ignorance is not restricted to Christians because sure seems that way a lot of the time.
