I'm not going to attack her online or remove her from my friends list. I don't have to agree with her. If she wants to remove me because she now hates me that's fine.

This thread saddens me.

I don't care what religion or non-religion someone is, the first thing everyone should practice is TOLERANCE.

Intolerance causes war.

Personally I'm not offended by any religion. Just don't try to convert me, control me, or kill me and we can all get along.

My only belief is no one will ever be proved right or wrong so fighting about it achieves nothing.

Whichever "side" you are on, respecting the other-sides will always get you further than trying to unseat someones deep belief. Faith is not something my mind will ever understand, but I do know if someone has Faith they will never be talked out of it, no matter what is said or done.

If anyone doesn't like being preached to, that's fine. No one is forcing anyone to read this thread. It goes both ways though. An atheist telling a religious person they are wrong is also a form of preaching.

Tolerance and respect <- that's a belief that everyone will benefit from.

All b.s. aside thank you for your post. Thank you to Hagar for not deleting this post as well. I was on a fire department when this all happened. I had been to a few conventions and some training exercises with some of the people that lost their lives that day. I knew them for a bit of time before they died, and they were my brethren. That was one of the worst days of my life, and every day I think about it. Seeing this post really brought a little joy to my day. It seemed as though people were slowly forgetting. So thank you all for the posts, it really does mean a lot. I also know that they are looking down with a smile and a beer, and they are appreciating your posts, prayers, and thoughts as well.
