I have two ideas concerning Man-Overboard.

1. Every rare occasion we sail through a storm (perhaps 1 in 150) without protection a crew member (not a First Mate, purser, or helmsman) is swept overboard and lost at sea.

2. In conjunction with #1, occasionally the crew spots a lost sailor on a raft, and he is signed on as a random crew member with 50% experience. He will replace the lowest experienced sailor if there is no open slot. Or.... If your slots are already filled with more experienced crewmen, it creates a bonus crew slot, and he serves as a deckhand.

So…….it’s not enough that your hull gets half eaten…..now ya want to give up crew members too? I presume this does not apply with Hammer in inventory.

Goose, the number of storms, or that the storms are even a measure should not be the factor of what it will add to the game. Hell, make it as often as an encounter with Titan and The Golden Frigate... Maybe three or four times a round.

Well, I didn't want to discuss specific storm protections, but I did mention it, Boogie. I'm just looking at the kinds of things that actually did happen at sea, and adding them to the game. Lost at sea/found at sea. Both possible, even likely.
