Let’s try this ONE more time...

I get what the BH is for, why it’s used, and EVEN what may cause a player to get put on it. As Peg stated, and 9 fingers, too - it is ABUSED! There is no reason for Peg to ever be on it. Simply it was PIRATE abusing a loophole piece of the game just being an ass and bully.

All I’m doing is requesting changes to a game to increase FUN. I WONDER why the Brethren was created?!? BECAUSE people were tired of getting hit online.. PERIOD

I think a reward for defeating the BH would be nice. It's difficult to do and winning the amount paid to the BH to catch you would be satisfying way of saying "congrats you beat him". Especially since it is so hard to win.

I believe people should go easy on bounties but I don't think it should be removed. It's just a game. If he gets you just log off for a while then come back. If there is a steady gap between times he comes after you then I wouldn't worry about it much. Though I'm not sure why you get targeted so often ha.

Again though, I do think a reward for beating the BH would make getting targeted by him a little more interesting. Then at least you can make it a goal to train hard enough to beat him.

I will investigate a range of options for easing off a little on the bounty hunter, especially for lower level players. I'll update once I have some options tested.

And.. here we are again.. haven't played hardly any because of the BH.. and once I decide to give it another go.. BAM!!

Still think adding people onto the BH list to just be an ASS ruins this game. It's a GD shame we can't have someone fix the problem of players just being a-holes and running off everyone like a bunch of bullies.. and.. it's allowed to continue to happen..

I think if you put someone on the BH list several times you should be put on it. So let's say I repeatedly put a pirate on the list, after the 3rd time in the round I automatically get put on the list. And keep getting put on the list after every 3 x's per pirate. Also if I beat the bounty hunter the person who put my name on it be automatically put on the list. And if you are put on this list for abusing the BH a jail key will not work. I think that would be a bit fair.

What if everything stayed the same, but posting a bounty was increased to something like 10,000,000 doubs? That way, you can still put someone on the BH list, but you better really mean it.

Along the lines of dJ's suggestion, the price of putting someone on the bounty hunter list could be scaled according to level.

Seriously...

Completely uncalled for.. bullying... BS just to be a-holes.. Really funny at this point, right Hagar? Ridiculous.. IF the BH isn't going to be fixed, then remove the Brethern... It's a pirate game... OHHH WAIT.. THAT was created to keep players from abusing pieces of the game and made it not be fun..

What's different HERE?

Disagree with the scaled bounty hunter cost according to level. A high level pirate can easily abuse it by sending doubs to their lower level pirate friend to post bounties.

I don't think it is bullying at all. If it was, then we would have to include hitting online or short off-line, having a Vampire so you can search for items ahead of the other players, assassinating, sabotaging, using your Voodoo Doll on someone, or for that matter, declaring war on another Fleet. It's part of the game.

The Brethren protects you from being hit online when it prevents you from playing the game. There is a limit to how many times you can get hit on-line, but it does prevent you from playing the game if someone is persistant. Plus, someone being in the Brethren doesn't hurt anyone else. It's a personal decision. There is no comparison here.

I like the BH the way it is, frankly. It's the only way a little pirate can send a message to a bigger pirate that they don't like the way they are being treated on the game. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what one is doing to be on the list. Just ask yourself, "is there something I am doing unnecessarily to make this game harder for someone else?" Or there may be no reason at all. There are people on here that are just plain mean. But, I still think the BH has value. Just because you are on the list, doesn't mean you can't play the game. It takes a week or two to get caught. It's just a name on a list. And once he gets you, go pour yourself a beer and sit by the pool for an hour. It's very therapeutic.

Don't make the BH a head game for yourself. Use it as a point of reflection. We can all use that once in a while.

We all know the work around, so lets just take care of it now if we are really considering changes.

How about if a Big Pirate gives a Small Pirate the funds to post bounties, then the Big Pirate is automatically added to the BH List..or both placed on the list.

If I was playing daily all your points would be vaild, Muir.. butt.. in my case, they aren't.. AND you hit the head of the nail... YOU bring up it is a part of the game that can be abused, for NO apparent reason. (that equals "people on here are just mean".. which also equals they are a BULLY) So, you contradict yourself, but Thank you for confirming my case it needs to be fixed..

The comparison of The Brethern is, since it's not obvious.. people were abusing the online hitting limits... so, it was created to STOP that from happening.. YES, the BH is abused and keeps people from playing the game.. also.. a little reminder.. getting hit online doesn't "prevent" you from playing the game either, does it? NOPE.. you take your licks and keep going... you mentioned, there is a limit.. soooo.. kit out, pour yourself a beer, and get it over with.. Right? That's your response to the BH..

NOT ONE DAMN time have I asked for the BH to be REMOVED... JESUS but if it isn't going to be made to where it cannot be abused, then The Brethern should be removed.. As it's been mentioned.. THIS IS A PIRATE GAME!!

I've been on the list every week. When caught, I show the displeasure by sitting out. It's my small way to show I don't care as much as others that live in here. The more I sit out and not play only allows me to find many other things to do. I play when I'm working at my desk. It won't take much to just listen to youtube videos for free and keep working, keeping productive and entertained.

I don't play as often as some but more than many others. I won't buy keys. I've been given keys and returned them.

Are the sale of keys really that important vs loosing players?

I've offered my suggestions and solutions to Hagar over the years to improve the game. I've stopped solving unknown quests. I don't want to see the BH removed but making improvements are always good. If I get locked up for an hour or more, in reality is is more like 6 or more hours before I bother to return. Each time, I spend more time away, the less interested I get in returning. It's the fact to be around other pirates I've grown to know and respect that has me return.

Time is something we should never waste.
