I’m sorry for the slow updates. I want to release new ports, new quests, and more.

I wanted to keep this private but it is impacting my ability to work on the site so here it is, uncensored:

I was assaulted by one of my neighbors two days ago and police & ambulance came. I have 5 staples in my scalp and a black eye along with multiple heavy bruises and muscle soreness. I hate Australians. Always wanting to fight while I was trying to de-escalate. Now I just know that I’m so old and broken I’m everyone’s bitch now.

I spent this morning giving a police interview for 2 hours. They have front and rear dashcam footage with audio (he road raged me and I stupidly got out of the car to descalate. I was being tailgated so I pulled over to let him past. He wanted to fight instead.

He’s being arrested today with the charge being assault occasioning bodily harm. He was also in a company truck so I sent them the footage. They got back to me telling me his employment is being terminated.

Because he lives 3 houses down from me and is well known to the police my wife fears for her safety so my upright time is currently being spent installing Ring floodlight cameras and outdoor cameras everywhere and a Google mesh system so they all have Wi-Fi (seems like a good end of round prize too).

As soon as I can sit down and get so work done I will. I’m not in a very good mental or physical state and probably drinking more than I should.

That’s the raw story. I wish my life wouldn’t have to be so dramatic.

There are so many good people in this world (of that I am sure) but there are also some really bad people. I'm so sorry you had to be in that situation. Take time and heal. Prayers for quick recovery but take your time, the game can wait a bit.

Unfortunately cameras only record footage and cannot stop crimes. If this guy gets this angry only worse can happen and no one deserves anything like this to happen to them.
This game keeps me busy and I do like exploring but I have no problem with someone’s well being stopping my exploring.
Get better. I don’t speak for everyone but most of us will probably keep playing no matter what.

So sorry to hear this, No one deserves that. You take care of you and family first, the game can wait. If it's next round for new ports and quests we will all enjoy them then just as much as now. Your health is more important than this game.

It sounds like you did all of the right things. You definitely were brave to get out of the car!

Holy crap! That is a lot. I wish you and the family well. Hopefully you get back to being you, soon. I am sorry you are having to deal with it all!

I hate to read this. Take care of you and your family first and foremost. I used to believe everyone was a good person. Nowadays it isn't safe to believe that any more

Unfortunately Brisbane is known for it's road rage and those DUI, we see the stories all the time in the news here in Melbourne.

The security camera's do sound like a great EOR prize.

Jeeze, I'm so sorry to hear about this Hagar. I hope recovery goes smoothly.

So glad you're on the mend. I typically drive 45 min on the way to work and 1 hour on the way home of Houston suburbs. Have seen more than my share of A holes on the road. The older I've got I'm pretty passive. I just smile and shake my head knowing I'll make my destination not sure if they will. Be safe and do what you need to do to keep family safe. I was looking at transferring to your area at one time kind of glad the family firmly rejected the idea now.
