How's everyone going?

I've been stuck at home for the last 5 weeks. I've always considered myself a major introvert, but I realized that may not be the case. I'm not a people person, but being on lockdown is driving me nuts?

I work in the power transmission industry as an asset manager, so I'm considered essential and all leave has been cancelled. I'm happy to have a good job and a strong union, so I shouldn't complain.

What's it like in your corner of the world? Complete lockdown, or business as usual?

Just finished a semester of college myself; almost a week into the break now, looking into teaching assistant positions at my school since I can do that remotely even as many of the businesses around here are closed for lock down. Classes got switched to being taught remotely a a bit over a month ago, leaving everyone frantically scrambling to figure things out. Didn't really make the homework go away though, lol. Anyhow, I haven't left the house in a couple days but I could go for a walk if my indoor exercises get boring :).

Nothing different from what I had planned for these months. Had heart surgery in January, so was just going to be at home anyways healing back up. Our little City is not too bad on rules and we have only had a couple confirmed cases in the last couple weeks. Most likely they were people leaving our City to go into Houston and got it there. Our trails are still open, so I get my walks in with my Wife. We have I think 26 miles of trails ranging from woods, to coast to flat open space. It's not crowded but there are a lot more people out walking/biking now than I have seen in the past. My fishing pier is closed down...that is a big bummer for me...not that I was going to fish but I also enjoy getting out with the regular group and watch them bring in some fish.

I hope everyone is staying safe and this ends quick.

I’m considered essential also. I’ve been going to work as usual and taking the precautions. I live in a rural part of Tennessee and there has only been a few cases diagnosed in my county. I miss being able to go somewhere and eat lunch or maybe dinner in the evenings. However, I have rediscovered that I can cook a pretty good meal!

I work in healthcare, but my business is considered non-essential. I do health assessments and labwork for people trying to buy life insurance. So, I have been in my camper for the last 5 weeks, hunkered down. I have offered help to local hospitals, and clinics, but so far no takers. Plus, I am self-employed, so I do not get unemployment. Sucks really. Burning though savings.

Wife was already working from home. I'm considered essential so I still go into an office - lots of IT work right now.

They aren't testing unless you are almost literally incapacitated. The guy that works with me was out for 3 weeks with all the symptoms but they didn't test him and lets just say I am keeping my fingers crossed.

While we are not affected financially, both my wife and I have lost relatives to the virus in multiple states.

Please don't underestimate how contagious this thing is.

I manage a pet store, I’m essential. Everyone’s buying a companion for these times at home. Can’t wait to see them all try to return them when it’s over...

I work part-time for Michael's Art & Supply...on-lines orders/curbside pick-up is 10 times more than 6 weeks ago. I also work part-time for the Houston Astros...of course not working right now.
