Eight years ago today, terrorists invaded our country and killed over 3000 innocent Americans. At that time flags flew in front of every home and office and adorned every car on the road. Churches were filled with people as we grieved for lost neighbors and for our nation.

Today, few flags are flying and churches are once again empty. As a nation we are back to the apathy and complacency of pre-9/11.

Please take a moment today to remember those killed, their families, their friends. Go back and look at the photos of that day. Remind yourself of what our men and women in uniform are fighting for over in Afghanistan.

If you haven't raised your flag, do so now. Do it in rememberance of those who died that day and those who have died since fighting terrorism.

Yes NEVER forget. Before I deployed to Iraq I was stationed in New Jersey to mobilize and we had the opportunity to go see ground zero.(2004) The local firehouses sponsored the trip and fed us as it was the Thanksgiving holiday and we were not able to go home. It was very humbling for theese folks that had lost so much to be providing for us.

9/11 NEVER FORGET. Remember 911 always and remember if we sit here all safe and smug that we must meet all agression with full retaliattion to stay safe here. Remember our soldiers and pray for thier safety. Above all remember FREEDOM IS NOT FREE AND MANY HAVE GIVEN THIER LIFES SO WE CAN HAVE OUR FREEDOM.

I have been to ground zero. Words cannot tell you how it felt to be there 4 years after wards. I cried as I saw the names of those who died the damage to the buildings, just being there. There was a big hole where they had dug out most of the WTC buildings. I could see other buildings that were damaged and had not been repaired. It was a very humbling experience. One I will NEVER FORGET!

Lest we forget. The Wold Trade Center held all Nationality's from all Nations. May those that have been touched by the loss of loved ones continue to heal.

In the great prime causer of all things name I pray, allow those who seek strength to stand vigilant.

May I also Pray for the freedom to always have, hold & be allowed my options of opinion.. should it be with religious or any other matter.

Mel stop lying. Its called respect for other people, show some. People that truly believe don't need to force it on other people. Show some class, grow up, and get over yourself. I will not have two ignoranr, phony hypocrites shoving what they claim are their beliefs down my throat. If either of you truly believed anything you say, you would show respect, and not be such ignorant, petty, rude, preschoolers.

I just wanted to say that I for one appreciate any prayers from any religion and agree that stating your beliefs should be allowed and I don't think either of you forced anyone to read anything and that the last post speaks for itself as to childish behavior.

Prayers have no place in the public forums, period end of conversation. And telling me to pray for something is rude, ignorant, judgemental and hypocritical. They are called personal beliefs for a reason, if you wish to discuss them fo to a religious forum. Religion has no place here, so everyone needs to stop showing their ignorance, and start showing respect.
